Hues for Humanity is coming to Fort McMurray!

AUGUST 26th 2016     4:00 PM –  8:00 PM

AUGUST 27th 2016     8:30 AM   onwards

at DOUG BARNES CABIN

Race Day Schedule:

OPEN 9 AM:

Bring cash for Food Vendors, Booths, Bouncy Castles, extra color packets

Running start times will range from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

You will sign up for your preferred race start time with package pick up

The run will take places at the Birchwood Trails system located behind Frank Spraggins School

190 Tamarak Way, Fort Mc Murray, next to the Doug Barnes Ski Cabin.

Each registration includes (2) two color packets, and (1) one white t-shirt.
Children 9 years old and younger may walk or run for free, but will not receive a t-shirt or color packet.
If you register them, they will receive their own race package.

Additional T-shirts and color packets may be purchased online

Please note: Bicycles, Pets, are NOT able to participate.
Stollers, wagons, or small scooters are welcome.

RUN DISTANCE is 5 KMS

There will be Door Prizes, “Highest Pledges” Award, Individual and Team Spirit Costume Prizes, Special Mention Awards, and more!

Final Colour Toss, and Awards  –  11:00 AM

 

Registration is now open for this event.

Register as a solo runner, a team, or a volunteer.

The run will start and end at the Birchwood Trail Head on Tamarack Way. It follows a 5k path that loops around a portion of the Beaver and Moose Trails. Participants will begin the course in staggered groups, as directed. Each group can walk or run as they choose, while passing through the colour stations. Participants, their families and other guests can enjoy games, booths, vending trucks and other activities while waiting for their run times and for runners to complete the course. Water stations and restrooms will also be available. We are excited to be able to use the Douglas Barnes Cabin as a main gathering place.

You will be required to sign a waiver either when you pick up your race package and t-shirt, or during check-in on the day of the event. T-shirts are included in your registration.

Pledge pages are easy to make for yourself or your team. Take your online pledge page and share it with all your friends! The more pledges you collect, the more we are able to provide for students in Africa.  It’s easy to do!
